October Newsletter (2) 2012

This is really unusual for me, isn’t it? To send out 2 newsletters in one month. But in the last newsletter I hinted at a new project I was about to launch and so here I am sharing it with you in this latest edition.

Silk & Stars

I am now collaborating with a lovely friend Starlene Breiter to create a new range of products that combine what each of us does best. I am contributing my silk artist and colour therapy skills, while she is bringing in her astrology, gemology and reiki healing. And we are birthing this under the name of ‘Silk and Stars’.

Today I’d love to share with you our debut creation. It is a gift package combining a personalised one year astrological transit reading, a gemstone specially chosen for you and an individually painted colour therapy silk scarf with your zodiac sign on it.

We’d love you to watch this video which tells you more about this new project:

This is the start of our exploration of different ways of combining colour therapy silks with gems and astrology so we’ll be sharing our inspirations with you as we go.

This scarf, gem and transit reading gift package can also be bought for someone else, just as long as we have all the relevant birth details. Here’s the link if you’d like to have one: Silk and Stars Scarf and Transit Reading Gift Package

Silk Painting Workshops

I ran a mandala silk painting workshop on Saturday which was a lot of fun. And I am planning to hold another one very soon in the same venue in Glastonbury.

The Glastonbury silk painting workshop getting started

These are the tentative dates for the events so have a look and let me know soon if you’d like to come and join in:

Creating Mandalas – Saturday, November 17th – Wilder Studios in Bristol : 10am – 4pm

Creating Mandalas – Saturday, November 24th – St. Edmund’s Hall in Glastonbury: 10am – 4pm

Creating a Batik Meditation Pillow – Saturday, 8th December – St. Edmund’s Hall in Glastonbury: 10am – 4pm

*Costs for the workshop – all inclusive materials, next day steaming and P+P to your home (plus tea, coffee and biscuits)

  • £55 (including approx. £10 for all materials and other costs)
  • £49.50 early bird discount (see individual workshop pages for dates)
  • £32 per child accompanying an adult (otherwise full charge is applicable)

Please contact me if you have any questions regarding any of the above.

One thing is for sure – spending a day painting on silk is a great  relaxation and meditation. You don’t need to have any previous experience whatsoever. Just the willingness to step out of the way and give space to the creative flow emerging from you. And it’s such fun for me to watch you creating your artwork as the day progresses. Please contact me if you’d like to know any more about a day of creative painting on silk with me: Contact Fiona Stolze

Silk Painting Video Tutorials

I’m now working on the first of several silk painting tutorials which I will be offering first as a download and then later as  a physical dvd. The subject is – How to Create a Mandala on Silk – and is a short dvd version of the type of things I teach you when you come to one of my workshops. This is in response to my overseas friends and followers who are unable to come along to any of my events. I hope to share the details with you very soon now.

The good news is that there will be a special offer on the video for a limited time  for those of you who receive my newsletter.

If you are interested, please get in touch and let me know.

So that’s it for this second newsletter. If there’s anything you’d like to ask me about anything relating to silk painting, just give a shout and I’ll help out however I can.

Love and warm wishes
